New York, NY — Global Atlantic Financial Group (“Global Atlantic”), a leading insurance company meeting the retirement and life insurance needs of individuals and institutions, has announced its inclusion in the annual Barron’s list of the 100 Best Annuities. Annuities issued by Global Atlantic subsidiary Forethought Life Insurance Company were recognized by Barron’s in the Registered Index-Linked Annuities and Fixed-Indexed Annuities categories.
“We are focused on delivering meaningful annuity solutions to help individuals address their retirement challenges. We are honored that Barron’s has recognized some of those options as among the best in their respective categories,” said Rob Arena, Co-President and Head of Individual Markets at Global Atlantic.
ForeStructured Growth, the firm’s registered index-linked annuity (RILA), was recognized as a top choice among buffered, as well as floor-style, commission-based RILAs. A buffer is designed to prevent a contract from experiencing losses up to a stated percentage, while a floor seeks to stop losses at a certain amount.
ForeStructured Growth’s 10% and 20% buffer crediting strategies, which are designed to guard against the first 10% or 20% of index losses, were recognized. The “floor” crediting strategies on ForeStructured Growth is designed to limit the loss exposure to a maximum of 10%. Both protection options are offered within interest crediting strategies designed to provide meaningful upside potential.
ForeAccumulation II Advisory, one of the firm’s core fixed-indexed annuities (FIA), was recognized as a top fee-based choice “for investors who want principal protection and returns potentially higher than plain fixed-rate products.” This annuity offers growth potential with no market-based losses, and the potential for interest crediting based upon 100% participation of positive linked index performance up to a cap.
The Barron’s annual list is a compilation of “100 competitive contracts based on common investor objectives and a set of assumptions, such as an investor’s age and investment size.” The annuities included in this list are issued by companies with an A.M. Best Financial Strength Rating (FSR) of A- or above.1 Global Atlantic’s insurance companies hold an FSR of rating of A (Excellent – Third highest of 13) from A.M. Best.2
Each individual’s situation is unique to their goals and circumstances. Each purchaser’s best interests should be considered prior to the purchase of any annuity.
