POSITION OVERVIEW

The Global Atlantic  Shared Services ( Operations) is looking for a Business Analyst to lead cross functional analyses and activities which inform both strategic change and operational processes across the Shared Services Function.  The right person for this role has excellent analytical abilities, has a demonstrated ability to apply analytics to solve business problems and identify opportunities, and has a strong understanding of business strategy, operations and KPI development. This role can sit out of our New York City, Boston or Hartford Offices.

 Responsibilities:

  • Build trusted relationships with the project stakeholders to gather requirements and understand their business value and impact
  • Facilitate the development of business requirements through design thinking workshops, interviews, observation, GAP analyses and other appropriate methods and techniques
  • Build requirements into epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flow diagrams, etc. into the Business requirements document
  • Apply project management tools and skills to ensure the launch and flawless execution of projects from concept to end
  • Translate functional requirements into technical solutions and function as the primary interface to the technical team. Lead end to end testing efforts and assist in defining user acceptance testing scenarios and drafting test cases and executing test cases.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for the features in dedicated areas for all internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead discussions with key stakeholder to review complex problems and requests. Work closely with stakeholder to identify, design, and implement solutions.
  • Work with business process owners and customers to analyze and solve complex business problems. Works on complicated and high impact issues. Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, and suggests the best course of action.
  • Contribute to cross functional project teams that address customer initiatives or IT needs. May develop and disseminate training in areas of focused responsibility to business customers.
  • Work closely with product owners, project managers, stakeholders, and development teams to define and document project requirements, Test plan, test cases, test defect logs, scope, systems functions, processes, challenges and opportunities to successfully implement solutions for complex projects
  • Conduct research, analysis, and other exploration activities
  • Create Visio diagrams outlining the end-to-end business process
  • Proactively communicate project status, issues and solutions to stakeholders. Escalate issues as needed to Workstream Leads, project team members.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations using Microsoft Office suite and schedules, attend or facilitate meetings as needed to support project activities.

Skills:

  • Product development and product ownership mindset, with a focus on delivering business value
  • Strong Agile mindset and familiarity with other development methodologies.
  • Experience with Waterfall/Agile/Scrum software development.
  • Experience with UX, design and product analytics.
  • Flexible and able to handle ambiguity.
  • Pragmatic, takes ownership, cool under pressure.
  • Stakeholder management experience
  • Excellent communicator and listener, Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience in engaging with stakeholders to lead topics, analyze business requirements, understand technical requirements, documentation.
  • Project Management (project life cycle/SDLC/cutovers/implementations)
  • Experience with project management tools/communications at multiple levels
  • Technical skills i.e.: integrations, analysis, implementations (lifecycle requirements/build/testing/ implementation; SAP/SuccessFactors module specific; upgrades/updates)
  • Production support, customer service and communications, documentation, etc.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, OneNote, MS project, MS Outlook, MS Visio) and other project management tools
  • Experience in facilitating discussions and conflict resolution in a cross-functional and multi-cultural environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in technology, business, management, or relatable experience
  • 8+ years of experience in a business analyst/project manager/technology specialist role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Business Analyst Certificate

Various jurisdictions have passed pay transparency laws that require companies provide salary ranges for any positions for which they are accepting applications. Global Atlantic has offices in Atlanta, Batesville, Bermuda, Boston, Des Moines, Hartford, Indianapolis, and New York City. The base salary range posted below is inclusive of the lowest cost of living geography to the highest in which we have a Global Atlantic office. 

Global Atlantic’s base salary range is determined through an analysis of similar positions in the external labor market. Base pay is just one component of Global Atlantic’s total compensation package for employees and at times we hire outside the boundaries of the salary range. Other rewards may include annual cash bonuses, long-term incentives (equity), generous benefits (including immediate vesting on employee contributions to a 401(k), as well as a company match on your contributions), and sales incentives.  Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Compensation for our more senior positions have a larger component of short-term cash bonus and long-term incentives.  The base salary range for this role is $61,850 to $117,810.
