Global Atlantic seeks an experienced compliance professional with a minimum of five years of experience to join its Compliance Department, with a focus on privacy related matters.  The Data Privacy Associate, will play a pivotal role in ensuring our company's compliance to data privacy regulations and policies, safeguarding the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Assist to define, develop, maintain and implement internal policies, processes and controls that enable consistent, effective practices that minimize risk to the company, its policyholders and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct comprehensive privacy risk assessments and data impact assessments to identify potential data privacy risks and recommend appropriate remediation actions.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to employees, enhancing their awareness of data privacy best practices, and promoting a culture of data protection throughout the organization.
  • Be a key point of contact for data privacy incidents and breaches, leading investigations, reporting, and coordinating timely responses to mitigate potential harm and prevent future occurrences.
  • Maintain and update privacy policies, notices, and consent forms to align with evolving regulations and ensure clear communication of data handling practices.
  • Evaluate and monitor the privacy practices of third-party vendors, ensuring agreements and contracts align with the company's privacy standards, including HIPAA compliance.
  • Manage data subject access requests (DSARs), inquiries, and requests for data deletion, ensuring timely responses in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Stay abreast of the evolving data privacy landscape, assess the impact on our business, and propose adjustments to privacy strategies accordingly.


  • Bachelor’s degree. Advanced certifications in data privacy and protection (e.g., CIPP, CIPM) are desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data privacy, compliance, or a related field, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Proficient understanding of global data protection laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and other regional regulations, with a strong ability to interpret and apply them in a practical context.
  • Demonstrated capability in conducting privacy risk assessments, impact analysis, and handling privacy incidents with a methodical and analytical approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex privacy concepts to diverse audiences and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of the business and regulatory regimes related to life insurance and annuity products is a plus
  • A keen eye for detail to ensure compliance with data privacy standards and meticulous documentation.
  • Strong commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining the utmost confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive information.



Global Atlantic’s base salary range is determined through an analysis of similar positions in the external labor market. Base pay is just one component of Global Atlantic’s total compensation package for employees and at times we hire outside the boundaries of the salary range. Other rewards may include annual cash bonuses, long-term incentives (equity), generous benefits (including immediate vesting on employee contributions to a 401(k)), as well as a company match on your contributions), and sales incentives.  Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Compensation for our more senior positions have a larger component of short-term cash bonus and long-term incentives.  The base salary range for this role is $76,000 to $145,000
