POSITION OVERVIEW  

Global Atlantic is seeking an experienced professional to lead the Corporate Insurance program. The team seeks an individual to oversee the transition of this body of work internally into the Corporate Services function, lead its day-to-day operations and to optimize and continue to mature the program. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Lead execution of all tasks related to policy renewals and claims management
  • Develop strategic roadmap for Corporate Insurance; recommend appropriate levels of coverage and retention based on cost of capital, cost of insurance, financial risk, risk appetite, broker recommendations and benchmarking
  • Budget preparation work for corporate insurance in general and for each policy at renewal, invoice administration
  • Own responses to requests for certificates of insurance
  • Prepare and deliver analysis and communications on critical insurance related items to the Risk Committee
  • Monitor and provide recommendations regarding insurance provisions in vendor agreements
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities and efficiencies
  • Remain current with insurance marketplace trends and developments to ensure awareness of available coverages, changes in insurance law and major legislative updates
  • Assess the potential impact of ongoing macroeconomic and industry trends to existing insurance programs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited program in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or similar program
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in insurance or risk management or claims or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
  • Thorough understanding of contracts and insurance documents
  • Critical organizational analysis skills for insurance program development to include technology efficiencies
  • Analytical and adept at processing and breaking down data into actionable information
  • Self-starter with strong project management skills and capable of managing concurrent complex projects and tasks successfully to completion
  • Demonstrated strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with individuals at all organizational levels
  • Strong presentation skills: ability to anticipate needs of technical and non-technical audiences, to include executive management and tailor communications appropriately
  • Proficiency with Microsoft suite of applications, MS Outlook, and insurance-based risk management information systems
  • Ability to travel occasionally as required
