The Vice President, Regulatory Actuarial Policy, will be based in either our Hartford, CT or Boston, MA office and will be responsible for assessing the business and financial impacts of new regulatory guidelines and requirements across Global Atlantic. Reporting to the SVP, Head of Regulatory and Government Affairs, this role will apply actuarial expertise to a broad range of regulatory matters impacting the approach to capital and other risks and lead key initiatives to address a fast-changing regulatory environment.
1. Engage insurance regulators on capital and actuarial issues to help mitigate regulatory risks to Global Atlantic. Assist management in developing appropriate advocacy strategies.
2. Attend and report on NAIC meetings that focus on capital and actuarial regulatory risks, including:
3. Lead the execution of capital and actuarial initiatives that implement the advocacy strategies of Global Atlantic, such as:
4. Participate in Global Atlantic Committees
5. Provide materials for management and internal communications on capital and actuarial regulatory risks
6. Take a leadership role in ACLI Committees and Subgroups
7. Participate as a member of committees and task forces that address regulatory risks of Global Atlantic
8. Monitor and report on the activities of other professional and trade associations that address regulatory risk, such as:
9. Support Industry and Global Atlantic Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) activities
10. Perform other tasks as directed by the SVP, Head of Regulatory and Government Affairs
11. Travel as needed to carry out the above responsibilities
