POSITION OVERVIEW   

The AVP, Marketing Operations will be responsible for architecting, managing, and implementing processes, tools, infrastructure, and technology to help drive and deliver key priorities and initiatives within marketing. This role will work closely with marketing leadership on strategic initiatives and holistic business planning; build out processes to track business objectives; manage expense, budgeting, and vendor management processes; lead process optimization efforts; and provide oversight and drive the roadmap for the Marketing tech stack.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partners with marketing leadership to drive the quarterly and annual marketing planning processes to enable delivery of our marketing strategy and objectives
  • Ensures alignment between initiative objectives, quantitative goals and budget
  • Facilitates on-going initiative prioritization discussions
  • Provides a holistic view of the roadmap of all marketing initiatives
  • Defines the processes, tools and templates needed to enable the planning process and communicate planning outputs
  • Monitors and measures progress of prioritized initiatives  
  • Partners with marketing leadership and finance to create and maintain the annual Marketing budget. Includes evaluating new investment opportunities, analyzing trade-offs, as well as managing on-going forecasting and variance reporting processes
  • Drives creation of scalable, streamlined processes and implements best practices to enable effective execution across the marketing organization
  • Responsible for identifying and implementing workflow and project management tools and technology to improve efficiency
  • Drives change management needed to implement new ways of working
  • Leads the vision for our marketing technology roadmap and strategy, as well as provides oversight of the marketing technology used across the team
  • Audits and evaluates our marketing technology stack to ensure we have the right tools and resources in place and are making the most of our technology investments
  • Identifies, evaluates and implements new marketing tools and platforms

QUALIFICATIONS  

  • 10+ years of B2B marketing strategy and/or marketing operations management experience.  Financial services industry experience a plus
  • Ability to drive multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of marketing and sales technology landscape and capabilities
  • Ability to effectively develop and implement new processes
  • Ability to act as a change agent for driving process improvement and best practices across Marketing
  • Understanding of marketing workflow and project management tools.  Experience with Workfront and/or Asana preferred
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Collaborative and team oriented
  • Proven ability to build and leverage relationships
  • Experience with budgeting and expense management processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint
