POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Technology Delivery Lead role will lead the team responsible to work with users, vendors, and IT team to provide support and administration for various finance applications under the Enterprise Performance Management systems, including Hyperion Financial Management, Oracle EPM, AnaPlan, and Workiva.  This position will be accountable for identifying how key business changes may impact the implementation and supported technical solutions across the organization.

This role will work closely with Global Atlantic’s Accounting Operations, Controller, Financial Reporting, and Financial Planning & Analysis teams. The role will also work closely with Finance Technology team to deliver on projects that affect multiple applications with in the team.

Key responsibilities will include the following:

  • New Requests/Builds
    • Manage application configuration requests, including reviewing and updating metadata in all Oracle EPM Cloud modules (FCC, Planning and Workforce Planning)
    • Lead the direction on new solutions within the EPM space.
    • Ensure appropriate testing and verification of technical solutions in completed.
  • Financial Consolidation and Equity Pick-up Process
    • Becomes a subject matter expert on how the financial consolidation process operates throughout the consolidation systems.
    • Is proficient in writing/editing rules to meet Global Atlantic needs.
    • Works closely with GAAP teams to make continuously improve the process.
  • General Support
    • Become a subject matter expert in assigned Finance Applications by maintaining a thorough and in-depth knowledge and understanding of the applications.
    • Is accountable for managing required administrative tasks
    • Accountable for the regular maintenance, updates, fixes and upgrades. Includes maintaining and troubleshooting business rules and managing data load processes.
    • Ensures systems are running at optimal performance and levels.
    • Handle access provisioning for applications ensuring access control procedures are followed.
    • Maintain application run books as needed
    • Provide training to new and existing users on current and future functionality.
  • Incident Manager
    • Manage and facilitate all incidents from Priority 1 to Priority 4, which includes, but not limited to, providing support to users of applications, responding to user-based questions, tickets and assists with troubleshooting issues within applications.
    • Manage day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple projects or requests.
    • Provides on-call assistance as requested, for after-hours issues and support needs.
    • Resolve incidents if able to, otherwise escalate as needed to various application vendors (provide tier-2 incident response)

EDUCATION

  • An undergraduate degree in an IT related field or similar combination or education and experience.

SKILLS

  • A quick learner of software and information technology, and motivated to learn new applications and business processes.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and STAT Accounting at a Life & Annity firm.
  • Proven experience working with technology vendors.
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal communication and documentation skills
  • Knowledge of SOX requirements and controls.
  • Self-disciplined, able to work independently, but also able to take direction when necessary
  • Self-motivated to identity and resolve issues and in advancing personal knowledge

 EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years’ experience working on Oracle EPM Cloud or Hyperion applications.
  • 5+ years’ experience supporting a Finance Department within a Life & Annuity firm.
  • 3+ years’ experience working on financial consolidation and equity pick-up.
  • 3+ years’ experience working on a Planning application.
  • 1+ year experience working on a SOX significant system
  • Desirable, but not mandatory
    • Experience with Agile principles
