TPA Relationship Manager

Summary of Position:

Responsible for Third Party Administrators (TPA) relationship management, governance, contract adherence, strategic metrics reporting.

Located in one of Global Atlantic Offices: Boston, Hartford, Des Moines

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the principal contact for TPAs and acts as single point for escalation, governance, and contract adherence
  • Works closely with Problem Resolution Team, Compliance, Risk Management, Operations, Finance, and other GA functions to ensure TPA conformance to contractual agreements
  • Oversees overall contract terms, conditions, and adherence.  Works closely with Legal, Sourcing, and Operations to negotiate and implement new and existing Work Assignments, Statement of Work, and Contracts
  • Supports development of financial model, oversees and managements cost containment and overall TPA budget adherence
  • Evaluates TPAs and other options for insourcing and further business process outsourcing opportunities
  • Partners with TPA, GA IT and GA Operations for process improvement, service enhancements, and infrastructure development
  • Develops materials and facilitates monthly/quarterly executive governance meetings, TPA performance scorecards, TPA relationship surveys, etc
  • Actively seeks improvements to Customer Experience through GA’s TPAs
  • Develops and implements Business Operation Guidelines (BOG) and the TPA Governance Playbook

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in insurance and TPA experience
  • 3+ years Relationship Management experience
  • 5+ years managing a cost center and operations budget
  •  Financial services operations, business consulting/audit or similar function with responsibility for planning; day to day administration, issue resolution, and management reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects from inception to successful implementation. In addition, a demonstrated ability to identify and remediate project risks
  • Strong communication skills, work ethic, with high level of personal integrity and accountability
  • Relationship management experience is a plus
