Global Atlantic’s dynamic, fast-paced marketing and communications department is seeking a self–motivated and flexible Corporate Communications Manager who will manage the day to day demands of internal communications while developing and leading the strategy to advance communication with our 1200 employees. Candidate must be willing to roll-up their sleeves to meet the existing demands of the business, and execute their vision, driving the strategy and development of a roadmap to advance our internal communications. This role will be located in the Hartford, CT, office.

  • Develops, advances and executes communication strategy and initiatives
  • Owns all employee communication efforts across different platforms.
  • Maintains a master calendar of all employee communication activities around the company.
  • Executes on dynamic day-to-day and opportunistic communication needs.
  • Partners with senior leaders for key message development.
  • Responsible for crafting senior leader all-employee messages.
  • Coordinates consistent messaging for local leader activities across locations.
  • Advances strategic initiatives to enhance internal communications efforts.
  • Creates and manages internal communication events, including, quarterly Town Halls.
  • Partners with other areas, such as Human Resources and Operations, to support consistency of message and brand.
  • Serves as primary writer to fulfill employee communication content needs.
  • Supports cross-functional communication plans for significant company and business line news/events.
  • Owns development and execution of bi-weekly employee e-newsletter.
  • Drives company intranet site content development, refresh and evolution strategy.
  • Ensures brand integrity, consistency of style, tone and voice.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing or English
  • 5-7 years internal communication experience
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Must be able to balance different points of view with insightful and creative solutions.
  • Must manage competing priorities and aggressive deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with senior leadership
  • Effective written communication skills are imperative
  • Strong grammar; AP Style Guide knowledge a plus
  • PowerPoint presentation development
  • Must be able to distinguish between critical message points and secondary information
  • Occasional travel may be required
  • Familiarity with Poppulo communication platform a plus
