SUMMARY

Global Atlantic Financial Group is seeking an experienced sales and marketing professional to lead efforts developing and executing on a marketing strategy for Independent Distribution. This person will be responsible for determining the projects and activities that enable engagement, execute on the organization’s sales strategy and impact revenue objectives for Global Atlantic’s Independent Distribution. Position reports to VP of Product/Channel Marketing.

Responsibilities are to define and execute marketing strategy to support expansion in the Independent Channel. This includes:          

  • Define and lead a team responsible for the creation of a marketing strategy with the goal of executing sales campaigns and building long term brand value within the Independent Distribution channel.
  • Build out and advance marketing strategy in conjunction with Global Atlantic’s Independent Distribution sales focus.
  • Partner with Independent Sales leadership to collaborate on creative and innovative ideas for advertising, marketing campaigns, awareness-building and support-building that are aligned with the values and messages of Global Atlantic in the Independent Distribution channel.
  • Develop strategic relationships across the organization including Sales, National Accounts, Product and Compliance.
  • Manage projects from idea development, execution, approval, deployment and analysis.
  • Lead the data analytics team to define and manage reporting, analytics and success metrics.
  • Lead the development and implementation of Go-to-Market strategies and resources for new product/channel launches in the Independent Channel.
  • Partner across marketing team to create digital and print collateral and producer communications in order to execute on product/channel initiatives within IMOs and BGAs.
  • Work closely with Product, Legal and Compliance areas to ensure marketing and advertising content meets proper guidelines. Responsible for submission of marketing materials and communications to compliance for approval and use.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or related field is required.
  • 7 -10 years of related experience. Experience in the sales and marketing of annuities and life insurance is required.
  • FINRA Series 6 license – or the ability to obtain a license in 6 months of hire.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with sales partners.
  • Experience in Independent Channel Distribution.
  • Ability to understand and simplify complex products, sales concepts and strategies.
  • Experienced in developing marketing campaigns, launching new products, managing portfolio of existing materials, websites and other resources.
  • Crafting and articulating a marketing strategy that aligns to sales goals and key marketing metrics.
  • Demonstrated skills that include creating high impact messages and visuals and collaborating with team members.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving skills, professionalism and judgment.
  • Ability and desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior team members toward achieving a shared goal.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic.
