Global Atlantic Financial Company is seeking a candidate for the position of Fixed Income Quantitative Assistant Vice President. Responsibilities include:


  • Engage in the management of $65b general account, lead the development and enhancement of various asset models, investment strategies and data infrastructure to add quantitative rigor to the investment process.
  • Lead key asset modelling and analytics projects for various liquid and illiquid fixed income products, incl. model development, ongoing maintenance and enhancements, and present outcomes to portfolio managers and investment committee.
  • Communicate with portfolio managers to develop new investment initiatives, construct project plans, and deliver advanced analytical methods or tools.
  • Work closely with corporate credit team to design efficient quantitative algorithms and tools to identify relative values and new business opportunities.
  • Identify key drivers of consumer loan performance by applying sophisticated statistical, data science or machine learning methods to enhance investment process.
  • Manage portfolio surveillance reporting process by creating functions to automatically track market movements, corporate actions, and portfolio performance and collaborating with numerous internal stakeholders to ensure outcome accuracy and integrity.
  • Lead technology agenda by cooperating with technology, core analytics and asset allocation teams to enhance the new investment analytics platform.



  • Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Financial Mathematics, Financial Engineering or a related quantitative field of study, plus two (2) years of experience in job offered or related positions in fixed income quantitative research, strategy, and analytics.



Minimum Special Requirements:


Prior experience must include two (2) years:

  • Working with one or more of the fixed income products, such as corporate bond/loan, consumer loan, or structured products (CLO/CBO, ABS).
  • Working on quantitative model development, including statistical models, data science or machine learning methods, numerical methods, simulation, backtesting, etc.
  • Project management experience with demonstrated ability to multi-task and deliver results in high quality within critical deadlines.
  • Working with big data and programming in Python or R.
  • Working with relational databases including but not limited to MySQL, Sybase, and Redshift AWS.


Prior experience must include one (1) year:

  • Working with default, prepayment, or severity analysis under various scenarios.
  • Working with performance attribution analysis and portfolio visualization in Tableau or other technology platforms.
  • Presenting complex financial products and investment analysis to various stakeholders.
