POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Senior Analyst for Financial Planning & Analysis Center of Excellence (FP&A CoE) team will partner with our Individual Markets Business Finance Office (Retail Life and Annuity) as Relationship Manager, and support Enterprise initiative projects that will drive Finance organization forward. This individual will be responsible with supporting financial results, variance analysis, financial planning, and management reporting within Individual Markets Business. Also will be collaborating with rest of FP&A CoE team members on Enterprise initiative projects to ensure we are providing best value for our business stakeholders. This individual will report into Head of FP&A CoE.

 

  • Support Individual Markets BFO team on:
    • Annual Budgeting and quarterly Forecasting on Expenses and Headcount
    • Prepare monthly/quarterly research & analysis package of actuals vs. Budget and/or Forecast; P&L and Assets (AUM)
    • Responsible for coordination and execution of budget transfers, cost center creation and hierarchy movements
    • Support developing Individual Market dashboards leveraging Tableau working with EXL (offshore) resource
    • Support ad-hoc requests from business partners and collaborate with various cross functional teams to provide appropriate information and analysis
  • Ownership and maintenance of expense allocation methodologies for Individual Markets
    • Firmwide initiative to provide transparency on expenses
  • Become an expert of Financial systems for FP&A: EDH (Enterprise Data Hub) and Clearwater
  • Support head of FP&A CoE with monthly reporting and ad-hoc requests

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4+ years working in FP&A focused on forecasting, variance analysis, and accounting
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff and management; strong communication skills
  • A team player with ability to lead others outside of our team
  • Detail oriented and accuracy-focused
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience Tableau dashboard development
  • Experience in supporting finance and non-finance teams
  • Experience of practical application of accounting rules around capitalization of technology spend
  • Enterprise Performance Management system skills e.g. Oracle and Hyperion
