POSITION OVERVIEW

The Technology Delivery Lead will partner with business area(s) to provide technology strategy, problem-solving, technical architecture, and technical project management for IT corporate systems. The ideal candidate understands the value of software architecture and strategy with a passion for leading teams and solving business problems with software technology. This position will be accountable for identifying key business changes and implementing the technical solutions as needed. Key responsibilities will include the following:

  • Primary Business Partner with Legal, Compliance, Human Resources and Marketing.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to assigned business area teams.
  • Be a consultant/analyst on strategic projects.
  • Lead initiatives that span strategy and road map exercises, architecture definition, product selection, application and integration design and implementation.
  • Be in a leadership role on various implementation projects, from Solution Architect to Technical Project Manager to Integration Developer.
  • Partner with business and third-party administrators to design and implement technical solutions supporting underlying business processes.
  • Participate in developing IT Governance processes and adherence to them.
  • Responsible for the entire lifecycle of IT Solutions, including regular maintenance, patching, updates, and fixes.
  • Manages all aspects of the technical activities (including software development requirements, architectural requirements, hardware, technical models, vendor interaction, technical designs, etc.) and ensures the solutions and applications align with the overall architecture and infrastructure.
  • Participate in testing and verification of technical solutions.
  • Communicates the effectiveness and task progress of the technical project team members.
  • Provides proper training and support after implementation to ensure proper knowledge transfer to given business units.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Be a consultant/analyst on strategic projects.  Understanding of business requirements, able to problem solve and propose solutions.
  • Other work as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field or similar combination or education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in technology leadership, architecture, design and development of enterprise applications and integrations.
  • Current or prior hands-on experience with modern web applications, enterprise application development platforms (ex. J2EE, NET, JavaScript), integrations, data and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented principles and system architecture.
  • Aptitude to learn new technology and business processes.
  • Strong leadership, management, and organization skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conceptualize and articulate ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to interact and communicate with business stakeholders at different levels in the organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Knowledge of Legal and Compliance business domain and associated technology within financial or insurance industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources business domain and associated technology is preferred.
