POSITION OVERVIEW

The selected candidate will report directly to the head of Enterprise Architecture and will be responsible for working as a centralized function focusing on strategy, standards, architecture, integration, and cloud adoption enterprise-wide that support all IT and business areas.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Works to define cloud computing policy, cloud provider selection guidelines, cloud solution architectures, workload placement guidelines, and cloud governance processes.
  • Develops and evolves multi-year roadmap with appropriate milestones aligned to business and technology priorities.
  • Creates guidelines and guardrails to improve outcomes and manage risks in adopting cloud delivery model.
  • Guides cloud adoption organization-wide, beginning with IaaS and PaaS, and participating in SaaS selection with other IT teams.
  • Assesses IT applications and other enterprise workloads for fit to cloud computing target architecture.
  • Develops and actively contributes to cloud architecture in alignment with the larger Enterprise Technology Strategy and Reference Architecture.
  • Establishes and leads cloud computing practice, including cloud knowledge base, code repository and templates.
  • Establishes and sponsors a cloud advisory function with appropriate representation of all facets of business and IT, Information Security Risk Management (ISRM), Finance, Compliance, etc.
  • Partners extensively with ISRM to ensure cloud reference architectures and guidelines incorporate information security policy and best practices.
  • Partners with cloud engineering, operations and support functions to implement robust cloud delivery capability.
  • Researches, evaluates and pilots new cloud services and capabilities and remains abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Selects and procures governance, monitoring, and deployment tooling for cloud computing.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years experienced in technology including 5 years in building and supporting cloud solutions.
  • Skilled in Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Extensive knowledgeable and experience in Amazon AWS, with Microsoft Azure experience is a plus.
  • Understanding and experience in software development and software-defined infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience in solution architecture, DevSecOps practices, and cloud integration.
  • Experience in multiple development languages (Java, C#.Net, Python) and scripting technologies.
  • Solid grasp of InfoSec constructs and management of PII/PHI/secret data.
  • Ability to understand complex systems and data flows.
  • Experienced in Financial Services industry and business processes is a plus.
  • General vendor management skills, e.g., negotiation, RFQ/RFP, etc.
  • Experience leading and developing successful technology teams.
  • Demonstrated analysis and communication skills, able to resolve technology and business problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adjust priorities appropriately in an evolving work environment with shifting time frames.
  • Self-starter with high degree of initiative, urgency, and follow through.
