The Third Party Risk Associate will join Global Atlantic’s Finance Management & Strategy Team. This role will collaborate with various stakeholders and business partners, as well as, oversee our Third Party Service Providers to help establish risk appetite and framework, develop management reporting material and drive success with developing and executing strategic processes. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Define risk appetite and refine risk-rating algorithm
  • Update policies covering risk areas
  • Define target state for distribution of risk ratings
  • Design model for risk acceptance
  • Manage emerging TPSP risks to ensure framework remains current
  • Develop management reporting materials for senior stakeholders and Risk Committee
  • Develop and manage Monthly Top Risk dashboard
  • Lead Quarterly Risk Profile meeting with Business Owners, Quarterly reviews with Risk Stakeholder group and Annual/semi-annual Risk Committee presentations
  • Create education and training model for Internal Stakeholders
  • Define parameters for roles and responsibilities (eg, Relationship Owners, Business Owners, Risk Stakeholders)
  • Build model for standing meetings, working groups, review and oversight of work products and decision-making
  • Develop playbooks for incident management (and manage / update playbooks as needed)



  • Ability to develop strong narrative PowerPoint decks directly, translate data into compelling infographics and stories, and present to large and challenging senior audiences (ex, senior committees, c-suite members, board members)
  • Influence stakeholders and leaders across multiple functions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience, with 3+ years of experience in Third Party Risk. Experience in Financial Services is strongly preferred
  • Tableau or similar reporting and data analytics experience and ability to tell a story with data
  • Knowledge of how to establish KRI/KPIs, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to present and lead executive meetings in a clear, concise manner, with high attention to detail
  • Experience with regulatory / audit responses
  • Work building and enhancing processes and work products
  • Experience managing Third Party Risk issues (data breaches, service quality challenges, etc.)
  • Sharp analytical / quantitative and technical abilities; must be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent partnership and relationship building skills, takes initiative
  • Can prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure and fast-paced environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel (1-2 business trips per quarter as needed when we return back to the office)
