POSITION OVERVIEW:

This in a contract role and it will provide administrative support to life insurance customers.  You will be part of the In-Force Team, responsible for handling incoming customer requests, with limited phone interaction.  Other responsibilities include:

  • Update insurance policies and profiles to correspond with customer requests
  • Posting general accounting entries
  • Pay claims according to business and compliance rules
  • Process Policy Owner Service requests to business and compliance rules
  • Use accounting skills to problem solve
  • Facilitate resolution of pending claims or service items in a timely manner
  • Support all department and strategic initiatives 
  • Assume shared responsibility for all team goals, processes and initiatives
  • Generate data for productivity and process measurements 
  • Identify and document standard operating procedures   
  • Assist as needed on team processes and projects

QUALIFICATIONS & NECESSARY SKILLS:

  • Understands preneed insurance products, claims procedures and system capabilities
  • Demonstrates excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Impressive data entry and navigation skills
  • Demonstrates a professional communication style, both written and verbal
  • Expresses a customer orientation and desire to meet and/or exceed customer expectations
  • Works independently to meet individual productivity and quality goals
  • Participates as functioning team player with a consistent positive attitude and demonstrated positive behavior
  • Generates enthusiasm around change and adapts quickly when faced with challenges
  • Takes initiative to improve processes and work with team members to enhance effectiveness and efficiencies
  • Ensures standards are documented
  • Excellent attendance is essential for success
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Ability to identify and define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
