In July 2020, KKR & Co. signed a strategic transaction to acquire Global Atlantic.  The transaction is expected to close in early 2021, subject to required regulatory approvals and certain other customary closing conditions.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Global Atlantic is seeking a Compliance Senior Analyst to join the team in Des Moines, IA. This role will be accountable for compliance support of the traditional life insurance business. Key responsibilities may include:

 

  • Provide day-to-day, overall compliance support of life business, regulatory change management, life operations, and frontline support of life business initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable state insurance regulatory requirements, including analysis and implementation of new laws and regulations
  • Proactive risk identification, escalation and solutions for mitigation/remediation
  • Support for regulatory exams, including annual production of the NAIC Market Conduct Annual Statement (MCAS)
  • Involvement in cross-functional project teams, including marketing and sales programs
  • Support of the complaint response team

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree; and minimum two years’ experience in life insurance compliance, including all aspects of market conduct and regulatory activity
  • Thorough understanding of state insurance regulatory framework and requirements
  • Knowledge of life insurance products, including indexed universal life and traditional whole life insurance products
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong commitment to culture of accountability, collaboration, and teamwork
  • Effective prioritization of multiple tasks and willingness and initiative to seek out and take on increasing responsibilities
  • Highly organized with attention to detail; strong work ethic and high level of personal integrity and accountability
  • Identification and appropriate escalation of issues, and development of solutions
