POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Tax Strategy Analyst will assist the Company in navigating the tax impact of strategic business initiatives.  This challenging position will draw upon skills in research, accounting, problem solving and communication.  Tax reporting, tax planning, and project management activities will be core responsibilities for this role.  Located in our Brighton, MA office, the candidate will need to be a motivated, diligent, detail-oriented, and organized person.

  • Interact with a cross-functional team within and outside of finance on strategic business initiatives that impact Global Atlantic’s income tax position.
  • Manage day-to-day contact with advisors, vendors and other supporting roles.
  • Perform tax research and document position in memos and/or presentations.
  • Support income tax compliance processes.
  • Prepare tax inputs for financial planning forecasts.
  • Prepare analysis, reports and presentations as necessary.
  • Ensure high degree of accuracy and quality control within work.
  • Other duties as assigned and/or identified.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Economics or related field with 1+ years of related experience;
  • Ability to review and analyze data and effectively present and communicate analysis;
  • Demonstrated continuous learning approach, leadership, teamwork, accountability and self-motivated to succeed;
  • Experience with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience with tax compliance software a plus.
