In July 2020, KKR & Co. signed a strategic transaction to acquire Global Atlantic.  The transaction is expected to close in early 2021, subject to required regulatory approvals and certain other customary closing conditions.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Finance and Accounting intern will join the Global Atlantic Life and Annuity Finance Division in a role that will fit with the Company’s objectives in moving the organization forward. This opportunity will provide experience in reporting and analysis, working directly with Finance and Accounting team members and working on projects independently.

Internship opportunities exist within Sarbanes Oxley Administration, Risk & Internal Audit, Investment Accounting, Tax, STAT Accounting and Accounting

The position will interact with a variety of areas of the organization at all levels. The internship has the ability to rotate through more than one department.

Responsibilities could include:

  • STAT reporting and analysis
  • Risk & Internal Audit
  • GAAP Reporting and analysis
  • Reinsurance Accounting and Reporting
  • Tax ad hoc projects
  • Expense Management and analysis
  • Investment Accounting and analysis
  • Expense Reporting and analysis
  • Special Ad Hoc projects

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a graduation date of May 2022
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to draw conclusions from research and report on findings
  • Strong communication skills, work ethic and high level of personal integrity and accountability
  • Proficiency in Excel; exposure to PeopleSoft General Ledger, Business Object Enterprise, Hyperion Financial Management and/or Essbase preferred
